Appeal for witnesses after cyclist and car collide on A46 near Dyrham

Emergency services respond to collision in South Gloucestershire

Police are seeking witnesses following a crash between a vehicle and a cyclist on the A46 near Dyrham, South Gloucestershire.

The incident occurred on 21st April, with emergency services called to the scene at 6.09 pm.

A grey Volkswagen Tiguan collided with a cyclist, a man in his 40s, who was subsequently taken to hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The driver of the Volkswagen was unharmed and cooperated with the police investigations at the location.

In the aftermath of the collision, the A46 shut between the M4 and the A420 roundabout to facilitate emergency services' efforts.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
