TV star brings traffic to a standstill in Kelso
'How dare they peep at Timmy Mallet!!!!'

Former children's TV presenter turned tourism ambassador Timmy Mallett is helping to put the Scottish Borders on the map, by sharing stories of his cycling trip along the Tweed with his thousands of followers online.
His visit comes ahead of the launch of a new 113-mile trail showcasing the River, from its source near Moffat to the sea at Berwick.
However, filming of the Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny star's video in Kelso was interrupted - when a motorist, whose path appeared blocked, beeped their horn.
Timmy - probably best known for his role on the Wide Awake Club and its spin-off, Wacaday - had been standing on Roxburgh Street explaining the tale behind the horse shoe in the cobbles when traffic began to back up.
But he laughed off the incident - replying: "Lovely to see you!" Before adding: "They're driving over a bit of history! How can they do that?"
One of his 162,000 followers on Facebook said: "How dare they peep at Timmy Mallet!!!!"
Another added: "I mean don’t they know who you are? 😂"
A third said: "Typical cyclist holding up the traffic, and not even on his bike."
Timmy also shared clips from his visits to Melrose Abbey, Dryburgh and the James Thomson monument at Ednam.
But most locals were welcoming.
One said: "How random. I live in the Borders and went to School in Kelso. Didn’t expect to see Timmy Mallet there. Love this guy!!"
Another added: "Live right next to Kelso and didn’t know (about the horse shoe). I’ll look out for it when I go shopping!"
