A 39-year-old man has appeared in court in the Scottish Borders charged with murder.
It follows the death of a 35-year-old woman in Hawick.
Tributes have been pouring in for Stacey Hogg after officers released a photograph of her, on behalf of her family, this morning.
One person described her as "an amazing mum, daughter, and friend", while another said she was "an absolute gem of a gal".
It comes after police were called to an address in the town's McLagan Drive around 7.20am yesterday (Thursday).
Lee Inglis made no plea to the charge when he appeared in private, on petition, at Jedburgh Sheriff Court today.
He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
Inglis, whose address was given as the Scottish Borders, is due to appear back in court within the next eight days.
