Boy, 7, taken to hospital following crash on A68 at St Boswells

A seven-year-old boy was among two people taken to hospital following a crash on the A68 at St Boswells earlier.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the two vehicle collision after the alarm was raised shortly before 11am this morning (Tuesday).
Police say a woman has been arrested in connection with an alleged road traffic offence and enquiries are ongoing.
A section of the A68 - between the former car dealership and Maxton turn-off - was closed for around an hour following the incident, but has since reopened.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.55am on Tuesday, we received a report of a crash involving two vehicles on the A68 at St Boswells.
“Emergency services attended, and a seven-year-old boy and a 30-year-old woman were taken to hospital for assessment.
“The woman was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and enquiries remain ongoing.”
