He's competed in the world's biggest horse race, the Grand National - twice.
And achieved over 130 career wins.
But local jockey Sam Coltherd says leading this year's Common Riding in Selkirk "will be up there" with them.
The 27-year-old - whose father was Royal Burgh Standard Bearer in 1993 - was joined by local children at a flag casting practice at the town's Haining last night (Tuesday).

It was a historic moment for the Selkirk Colonial Society, who have announced Frances Clementine Anderson of San Francisco, USA, will become the first Colonial Standard Bearer when she casts the colours in the town's Square on Common Riding Day - Friday, June 12th.
Frances is the great-great granddaughter of Robert Anderson, known locally as “Honolulu Bob,” who was born in Selkirk in 1875, and was one of the group's founding members.
She is no stranger to the Selkirk Common Riding, having first attended in 2013 to support her father, Robert Mailer Anderson, who served as Colonial Standard Bearer that year.
That occasion marked the 100th anniversary of her great-great grandfather Robert Anderson’s term as Colonial Standard Bearer.
