Police officer injured after being called to disturbance in Hawick

Detectives are appealing for information after a disturbance in a quiet residential street in the Scottish Borders that left one officer injured.
Emergency services were called to an address at Howdenbank in Hawick - just yards from the region's main police station - around 10am today (Saturday, July 26th).
During the course of the incident, an officer was injured but did not require hospital treatment.
Another man, aged 35, was taken to hospital for treatment.
And there remained a police presence in the area this evening.

Detective Sergeant Kim Allan, of Police Scotland, said: "This was a contained incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection.Â
"This incident happened on a quiet residential street and we are hoping that locals have captured the disturbance on their private CCTV or dash-cams.Â
"Anyone with information or footage that could help our investigation, should contact 101, quoting reference 1184 of July 26th, 2025."
