A 39-year-old man charged with murder following the death of a 35-year-old woman in Hawick has been locked up following a second court appearance in the Scottish Borders.

Stacey Hogg - who has been described as "a loving mum, daughter, sister and friend" - was pronounced dead after police were called to an address in the town's McLagan Drive around 7.20am on Thursday last week (June 25th).

Lee Inglis made no plea to a single charge of murder when he appeared in private, and on petition, at Jedburgh Sheriff Court today (Friday).

It comes a week after his initial court appearance.

Inglis was fully committed and remanded in custody, with the date of his next court appearance to be confirmed.

It comes as an online crowdfunder set up in memory of Stacey, to help with her funeral expenses and support her three children, tops £45,000.

Her family say "her kindness, strength, and love will never be forgotten".

Police taped off the street outside the property on McLagan Drive, Hawick.
