Helicopter joins rescue at Borders beauty spot

A casualty has been airlifted to safety after getting injured at a Borders beauty spot.
Coastguard teams from Eyemouth and Berwick were called out to reports of someone at Coldingham Bay area with a suspected broken ankle.
Due to the cliffside location, a Coastguard helicopter from Glasgow was requested to help extract the patient.
The dramatic scenes unfolded shortly after 4pm yesterday (Thursday).
A spokesperson for Eyemouth Coastguard said: "On arrival, our team provided casualty care and stabilised the individual while awaiting the arrival of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
"Due to the location and terrain, HM Coastguard Rescue Helicopter was requested to assist with the extraction.
"The casualty was safely airlifted and transferred to the awaiting ambulance at the village football field."
