Man airlifted to hospital following 'fall from height' in Hawick

A man has been airlifted to hospital after "falling from height" in Hawick.
Police said officers received a report of the incident in Liddesdale Road at around 3.20pm this afternoon (Thursday).
The casualty was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle for treatment.
Footage from the scene showed paramedics landing in a helicopter - understood to be from the Great North Air Ambulance Service - at a nearby park.
Locals say multiple emergency services were called to a serious incident at the former Lyle and Scott building.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said the Health and Safety Executive - which investigates accidents in the workplace - will be informed.
A statement from Great North Air Ambulance Service said: "Our critical care team was activated at 3.38pm to reports of a fall in Hawick.
"We had a paramedic and doctor on board our aircraft and they arrived on scene at 4pm.
"Our team worked alongside the Scottish Ambulance Service to assess and treat a patient and airlifted them to hospital."
