Good weather brings out Vibes in the Borders
Last updated 28th May 2026
A new music festival is being staged in the Scottish Borders this weekend.
And some of the money raised from the event is being donated to our charity Cash for Kids.
Taylor Swift, Queen, Elvis, the Killers, Abba, UB40, Shania Twain and Neil Diamond tribute acts are among those set to perform at Vibes in the Borders at the Public Park in Galashiels on Saturday - with gates opening at 11.30am.
DJ Rankin, Luke Gierus, and Dougy Telfer are among the DJs spinning the tunes in the dance tent.
Organiser Joyce Adamson, from GV Events, told Greatest Hits Radio: "There's something for all ages.
"It's going to be a lovely sunny day. We're going to have the big marquee in the middle, along with the DJ tent. We'll have the food trucks at one side and the bar at the other."
As well as Cash for Kids, the event - which runs from midday to 10pm - also hopes to raise money for Andy's Man Club and the Margaret Kerr Unit at Borders General Hospital.
Joyce (pictured above) added: "My husband Owen has talked about doing something like this for a long time, but I've knocked it back saying it would be too much work. But for some reason this year I thought, 'Why not?'.
“Some of the acts we've worked with before so we know they're good, so we just thought let's put this together.”
Tickets for Vibes In The Borders are available through Ticketsource.co.uk, with more information on the Facebook page.
