Edge Fest reveals biggest line-up yet - with Ronan Keating, Five and Callum Beattie to headline newly-expanded event
The Scottish Borders biggest music festival is set to get even bigger!
Following the success of the first three years, Edge Fest is being expanded from a two-day to a three-day event when it returns, over the first weekend in September - 4th, 5th and 6th.
It's just been announced: Boyzone singer Ronan Keating, 90s favourites Five and Salamander Street star Callum Beattie will headline this year's event.
They'll be joined on stage at Lilliardsedge Holiday Park, near Jedburgh, by the likes of rap star Tinie Tempah, The Hoosiers, DJ Sigala, and disco legends Boney M.
Emeli Sandé and Professor Green are also due to check in on the same day - could they be set to reunite for a performance of 2011 hit Read All About It?
While Scottish radio legend George Bowie returns after taking his bow last year, with Generation GBX.
Festival director Stuart MacDonald told Greatest Hits Radio: "We're thrilled to be back!"
Organisers had been teasing the return of the event in the weeks leading up to today's announcement - with some fans successfully guessing Ronan Keating's inclusion on the bill on the back of them explaining that putting together this year's star-studded line-up had been a "real rollercoaster" - a reference to his number one hit Life is a Rollercoaster.
"We're really proud to be able to attract people like Ronan Keating and Five, who are selling out arenas across the country," Stuart continued.
"Our main reason for launching the festival was to give people in the Borders a chance to see these kind of acts without the hassle of travelling to the likes of Newcastle, Edinburgh, or Glasgow.
"And now the tables are slightly turned in that there are people coming from outwith the Borders to see some of the acts that are performing at Edge Fest.
"I can remember seeing both Tinie Tempah and Emeli Sandé performing on the main stage at T in the Park all those years ago so, for them to now be in our line-up, it feels like a really strange sort of full circle moment."
The expanded line-up features an exciting mix of international stars, chart favourites and crowd-pleasing live acts across all three days.
Making his third appearance at the festival is Callum Beattie - who has links to Hawick - and has spoken highly of the event.
Stuart said: "Callum is an artist that we get asked for every single year and I think people tend to think along the lines of 'no Callum, no party', so we're really excited to be able to bring him back for a headline performance.
"With the addition of Friday, we're hoping to be able to offer more of a rounded festival experience, especially for those that are camping and staying on site; it allows us to start the party a little bit early if you like."
Glamping is set to add to the festival feel this year, while the VIP tent will also return with some additions.
In addition, the shuttle buses, fun fair, and food and drink stalls will all be back - making it one of Scotland's most accessible and family-friendly festivals.
"The festival has really taken off in the last few years," Stuart added.
"When it started, we had a 5,000 capacity and now we're expecting to welcome around 13,000 people through the gates over the weekend.
"It shows the festival has grown and gained a reputation as one of the events that people look forward to attending.
"Our team is really excited to finally be sharing the lineup for the 2026 festival.
"I think one of the most important things to us is making sure that the lineup is as rounded as it possibly can be, and cover as many different musical tastes as we can, while also keeping the artists that we bring to the region at the level that people are used to."
