Police search for black Volvo following early morning break-ins across Berwickshire
Police are appealing for information after a number of properties, containers and vehicles were broken into across Berwickshire.
Thieves struck in Eyemouth, Duns, Coldstream, Swinton and Gavinton during the early hours of this morning (Friday).
Power tools, car number plates, and a small amount of cash were taken.
Detective Constable Callum Wood, from Police Scotland, said: “We are treating the incidents as linked and are keen to trace three men, dressed in black.
"They were also wearing balaclavas and possibly using a black Volvo car.
“Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or has dash-cam or doorbell footage should contact Police Scotland as soon as possible, quoting incident number 0620 of Friday, July 3rd."
The latest spate of thefts has prompted police to warn people living in rural areas to be on their guard.
A green Landover Defender has also been stolen from the Borders in recent days. Two male suspects were spotted travelling in a white Ford flatbed truck.
