A man offering osteopath services is due to stand trial next year accused of 55 sex offences relating to 14 different women.

Terence McBrien, from Alnwick, pled not guilty to all the charges when he appeared at Newcastle Crown Court this morning (Thursday).

The allegations cover a ten year period between 2011 and 2021.

It took the court clerk more than 16 minutes to read out all the charges which include one count of attempted rape, seven counts of sexual assault by penetration, 34 counts of sexual assault by touching, and 13 counts of voyeurism.

The charges relate to 14 women who engaged with him while he offered services as a massage therapist or osteopath, Kama Melly KC, prosecuting, told the court.

Judge Edward Bindloss told McBrien that a trial expected to last up to four months has been scheduled for April 19th, 2027.

He was granted conditional bail in the meantime and told to attend two pre-trial hearings in July and March.
