Man arrested following collision on A72 which left cyclist in hospital

A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a crash on the A72 which left a cyclist in hospital.
It follows a police appeal for information following the collision - involving a bike and another vehicle - near Skirling on the afternoon of August 11th.
Officers say enquiries are ongoing and a report detailing the circumstances will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Earlier this week, we reported the cyclist has since been released from hospital.
Mike Snaith, who's 36 and lives locally, revealed his life had "completely changed" following the incident.
“Initially there was concern for my life," he told Greatest Hits Radio. "However, I do believe that if I wasn't training, and I wasn't as fit as I was, I probably wouldn't be here now."
The fitness enthusiast - who previously played rugby for Gala YM - is documenting his recovery online.
“I was training…every day; now some of the simplest things take planning, help, or just aren’t possible yet’,” Mike posted in a video shared on TikTok, under the handle “The Long Way Back”.
