A woman has died following a collision near Market Drayton
A 1-year-old child, who was a passenger in the vehicle was uninjured
A 43-year-old woman has died following a collision on the A53 in Hodnet near Market Drayton.
It happened in the early hours of yesterday morning (29th June).
At around 3.30am a white Nissan Qashqai left the road, colliding with a wooden fence and a tree. The driver of the vehicle sadly died at the scene.
A 1-year-old child who was a passenger in the vehicle was uninjured.
West Mercia Police said:
"We’d like to hear from anyone who saw, or who has dashcam footage, of the collision itself or of the car in the minutes before it.
"Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact the serious collision investigation unit on [email protected] or [email protected] quoting incident number 74 of 29 June."
