Wolverhampton Wanderers are through to the FA Cup fifth round after a 1–0 win at Grimsby Town.
In difficult weather conditions and on a heavily worn pitch at Blundell Park, Wolves had to work hard to avoid a cup upset against the League Two side.
The decisive moment came just after the hour mark when Santiago Bueno scored the only goal of the game, finishing from close range after a cross into the box.
Grimsby started brightly and created early pressure, but Wolves gradually grew into the match, with João Gomes hitting the crossbar before the breakthrough goal.
The hosts continued to push for an equaliser late on, but Wolves held firm to secure their place in the next round and keep their FA Cup campaign alive.
The result gives Wanderers a welcome boost and a chance to build momentum as attention turns back to domestic competition.
