Police appeal for information following scooter rider's death

Police in Shrewsbury are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on Sunday 12th July 2026, which resulted in the death of a scooter rider in his 60s.

The incident occurred at approximately 1.48pm on the B4380 in Wroxeter and involved a red Lambretta Scooter and a Volkswagen Tiguan.

Sadly, the scooter rider was pronounced dead at the scene, while no other injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.

Officers are specifically interested in hearing from the occupants of two vehicles present in the area at the time—a red Kia and a white Vauxhall Corsa—who may have witnessed events leading up to the collision.

Investigators believe these vehicles were not directly involved, but the occupants might possess valuable information aiding the investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or may have related CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to come forward.
