Teenage girl and man arrested after serious Whitchurch collision leaves two injured

Witnesses sought by police investigating dangerous driving at Mile Bank Farm

A 13-year-old girl and a 48-year-old man have been arrested following a serious collision at Mile Bank Farm in Whitchurch, Shropshire on Saturday, 25th April.

The incident happened at approximately 10.45am when a Volvo XC60 crashed into multiple fences and a gate before hitting a caravan awning.

An 81-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman were seriously injured in the collision and taken to hospital, where the man remains in critical condition.

The young girl and the man were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving but have since been released on bail as investigations continue.

PC Mark Hobden, from the serious collision investigation unit, is appealing for anyone who was at the caravan park at the time and might have information to assist the inquiry.
