Dance teacher from TV series denies sex offences involving boy, 14, at Cannock court
Warren Bullock has been granted conditional bail ahead of a Crown Court appearance
A dance teacher who featured in a TV reality series has denied two child sex offences, including an allegation that he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy.
Warren Bullock, 61, appeared at Cannock Magistrates' Court in Staffordshire on Friday.
He spoke only to confirm his personal details and to indicate not guilty pleas during the 12-minute hearing.
Bullock starred in the Baby Ballroom documentary series in 2017.
He helped to found a dance studio near Wolverhampton in 1994.
The court declined jurisdiction of the case, and Bullock was ordered to appear at Stafford Crown Court next month.
The charges
Bullock, of Showell Lane, Lower Penn, south Staffordshire, was charged with two offences by Staffordshire Police.
The charges followed an inquiry by the force's Online Investigations Team into a report of sexual communication with a child.
One charge alleges that he caused or incited a boy aged 14 to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity between dates in 2021 and 2023.
The second charge relates to the same period and is alleged to have taken place in Lower Penn.
It accuses Bullock of intentionally touching a boy aged 14, contrary to the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
During legal submissions, the court heard the Crown alleges that Bullock pinched the alleged victim's bottom.
Bail conditions
Bullock, dressed in a blue suit, white shirt and blue tie, was granted conditional bail.
District Judge Joseph O'Connor said: "You will appear at Stafford Crown Court on 16 November."
He said: "I am granting you conditional bail and some of the conditions imposed previously are going to be imposed."
The conditions include an instruction not to undertake any work involving contact with under-18s.
Bullock must also have no contact with the alleged victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons.
