Teenage girl sexually assaulted at Shrewsbury Library, police say
They're appealing for witnesses

An arrest has been made following reports a man sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl at Shrewsbury Library.
Officers say the incident happened at around 3pm yesterday (30th March) at the library on Castle Street.
A man began talking to the teenage girl, before putting his hand on her leg, officers say.
A 33-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
He has been released on bail as investigations continue.
PC Ben Summerfield-Davies said: “We understand that incidents of this nature cause concern within the community, and we want to reassure the public that the investigation continues.
"We are appealing for anyone who was in or around Shrewsbury Library at the time and may have witnessed the incident to contact us. Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could assist our enquiries.”
