Suspect dies following Whitchurch murder investigation

The suspect in a murder investigation in Whitchurch has died, police have confirmed.

Rita Rowley, 84, was found dead at her home in Prees Heath on 27th January.

An 80-year-old man, who had been arrested on suspicion of murder, was found at the address with serious injuries and taken to hospital, where he remained in a critical condition.

Police say he died in hospital on Friday 13th February, and his family have been informed.

Both deaths have now been referred to the coroner.
