Two people from Shropshire have been jailed after a woman offered her baby daughter to meet with a Shropshire man who wanted to sexually abuse her.

Christopher Brownhill, 38, of Linley View Drive in Bridgnorth, and the woman, who can't be named to protect the identity of the child, were found guilty of arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence.

Brownhill has been jailed for 11 years, and the woman has been jailed for six years.

Shrewsbury Crown Court heard how the pair met on a dating website in 2017, where their conversations turned to their mutual sexual attraction to young children.

The woman sent Brownhill pictures of her daughter who was aged one at the time.

The pair agreed to meet with the woman promising to bring her daughter.

They never ended up meeting, but Brownhill continued to tell the woman what he planned to do to her daughter if they met.

They were arrested two years after they first started speaking as officers receieved information about their activities.

An investigation also revealed that Brownhill had been in contact with another woman who had a sexual attraction to young children. They discussed meeting so he could abuse the woman's one-year-old twin nieces.

As well as their jail sentences, Brownhill and child's mother were given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and put on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
