Shrewsbury Town Football Club has reiterated its commitment to finalising the proposed takeover after responding to concerns about the delay.

The club has emphasised that it is working through proper channels to progress matters and assures fans that the process is approaching its final stages.

Scott Davidson received Independent Football Regulator (IFR) approval for the takeover, with Craig Graham, Will Dotson, and Brad Friedel also passing owner and director tests.

Recent calls for public comment on the takeover have been dismissed by the club, which stresses that applying pressure is not constructive.

The club expressed disappointment over a critical letter released just before the upcoming fixture against Crawley Town after a successful run gaining 11 points in six games.

Acknowledging the importance of discretion, the club remains committed to handling takeover matters professionally and requests that supporters respect its approach.

The club thanks fans for their continued support and understanding that not all matters can be publicly discussed.
