Search under way in Shrewsbury for man in river

A search is under way in Shrewsbury after a man was seen entering the river near New Street.

He is believed to have gone into the water in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called at around 4am.

Specialist teams are looking for him, and officers say they are in contact with his family.
