Police seek witness after man suffers facial injuries in Droitwich assault

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an assault in Droitwich that left a man with facial injuries.
The incident took place at around 10:00 pm on Friday, 22nd May, on Westlands Walk near the junction with the A38.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody as enquiries continue.
Detective Sergeant Matthew Robinson is leading the investigation and urges anyone who may have seen the incident or the events leading up to it to contact authorities.
“We are continuing to carry out enquiries to establish exactly what happened on Westlands Walk last night and are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident or the moments leading up to it.
“We understand a woman was in the area at the time of the assault and believe she may have information which could prove vital to our investigation. Even if you think what you saw may not be significant, it could help us build a clearer picture of events.
“I would urge the woman, or anyone else who was in the area around 10pm, to please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
