A man is set to appear in court following charges of dangerous driving after a police pursuit in Oldbury.

Tony Wharton, 52, who has no fixed address, has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop, and driving without insurance.

Wharton has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear at Dudley Magistrates' Court on 14th July.

The charges were brought after a police pursuit by officers from the Road Crime Team in the Sandwell area on 10th June.

Another individual, aged 17, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs during the same operation.

He has been bailed pending further investigations.
