Walsall FC sack manager Mat Sadler
That's following their 1-nil defeat to Salford last night
Walsall FC have sacked head coach Mat Sadler.
He's been in charge for nearly three years, but will leave with immediate effect following their 1-nil defeat to Salford last night.
They were four points clear at the top of League Two in early December, but are now three points adrift of the play-offs.
Co Chairman Ben Boycott said: “I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the significant efforts and contributions of Mat, both as a professional and as a person, during his time at the Club. We thank him for his dedicated service and wish him the very best for the future."
Darren Byfield will take interim charge of the team.
The club say they're working on appointing a new manager.
