Man charged with robbery and burglary offences to appear in court

Charges include firearm and knife-related offences

A man suspected of multiple offences, including armed robbery and burglary, is due to appear at Telford Magistrates Court today (28 August).

Mark Gillon, 43 and of no fixed address, faces serious charges linked to an armed robbery and a commercial burglary in Wellington, as well as a knifepoint robbery in Albrighton.

He has been charged with two counts of robbery, possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of a firearm while committing an offence or upon arrest, and burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal.

Gillon has been remanded in custody prior to his court hearing today.
