Large fire breaks out at industrial estate in Shifnal

Firefighters responded to a large building fire at an industrial estate in Shifnal early on Thursday, 18th December 2025.

The call, reported as a Fire Commercial incident, was received by Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service at 04:49am.

Six fire appliances, including the Incident Command Unit and the Light Pumping Unit, attended from stations in Albrighton, Telford, Tweedale, and Wellington. Crews were joined by Operations, Fire Investigation, and Safety officers.

To bring the fire under control, crews used six breathing apparatus sets, two main jets, and one hosereel jet.

Firefighters worked hard on-site to dampen down hotspots, with the stop message confirmed at 07:30am.
