The Hive Shrewsbury awarded £99,600 National Lottery grant to support young people
Funding will boost arts, wellbeing and creative programmes for local youth over the next two years
The Hive Shrewsbury has announced it has received a £99,600 grant from The National Lottery Community Fund to empower young people through creativity, arts, wellbeing and community support.
The funding, made possible thanks to National Lottery players, will be distributed over the next two years to help deliver life-changing programmes across Shropshire. These include safe creative spaces and opportunities in music, film and visual arts designed to ensure no young person is left behind.
A spokesperson for The Hive said the grant marks “a new chapter of hope, inclusion and long-term positive change” for the organisation and the wider community.
They added: “Thanks to National Lottery players, we’ve received a £99,600 grant over the next two years to empower young people through creativity, arts, wellbeing and community support. This incredible funding will help us provide life-changing programmes — from safe spaces to music, film and visual arts projects — making sure no young person is left behind. Together, we’re building resilience, joy and belonging in our community.”
The Hive said the project will continue to focus on inspiring the next generation to thrive, offering vital support for young people through creative engagement and inclusive opportunities.
