A man has been arrested after police seized Class A drugs with an estimated value of £100,000 in Stirchley.

The arrest was made this morning at an address on Jim Hicks Drive. Officers discovered a large quantity of both Class A and Class B drugs at the property.

The man, who's 49 years old, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. He remains in custody as police continue their enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Andy Pond said: "Today we have successfully seized drugs off the streets of Telford, and one man has been arrested. He remains in custody and is helping us with enquiries."

"We will continue to act on intelligence given to us as drugs have no place in our communities."
