Dudley's neighbourhood police teams have had a busy week focusing on road safety, engaging with the community, and conducting patrols.

In Halesowen, the neighbourhood officers joined forces with the Force Traffic team to address dangerous driving, resulting in the arrest of a drug-impaired driver and the seizure of several vehicles due to offences such as lacking insurance and valid MOT.

Meanwhile, the Dudley Central team, accompanied by mounted police officers and Police Horses Belgravia and Bruce, conducted visible reassurance patrols in the town centre.

During these patrols, officers connected with residents and shop owners in Dudley High Street, addressing their concerns and providing crime prevention advice.

Additionally, the team visited Foxyard Primary School, introducing students to the Junior Police Community Support Officer Programme.

This initiative educates children on community issues and encourages them to contribute to solutions, starting with lessons on the phonetic alphabet.

In Stourbridge, illegal vehicles were seized by the neighbourhood team, which included vehicles without MOT, insurance, or tax. Collaboration with the DVLA is ongoing in efforts to eradicate more illegal vehicles.

Moreover, Stourbridge PCSOs facilitated community engagement at Stevens Park in Wollescote, distributing crime prevention tools and conversing with residents about their concerns.
