Man arrested for theft of memorial plaque from Darlaston Cenotaph
A brass plaque was taken
A man has been arrested after a memorial plaque was stolen from Darlaston Cenotaph.
The brass plaque was taken from the war memorial on Victoria Road early on Sunday morning.
Officers say the theft took place between 5.45am and 6.07am.
A 40-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning (20 July).
He has since been released under investigation.
