Six arrested after suspected kidnap in Coseley

Police have made six arrests after a suspected kidnap in Coseley involving a firearm.

Officers were called to Hockley Road just before 11pm on 25th January to reports of a disorder.

Officers say man was driven away in a car after a gun was fired.

He has since been located and is not seriously hurt.

Four men remain in custody on suspicion of kidnap.

A man and woman have been bailed with conditions as the investigation continues.

People in the area should expect to see an increased police presence.

Detective Inspector Francis Nock, said: “Our investigation is continuing and I would ask anyone who lives in the area or has any information to come forward and report it to us or anonymously through Crimestoppers.

“We don’t believe there is a wider risk posed to the public but if you do have any concerns please speak to an officer or get in touch with us.”
