A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after another man was found seriously injured in Bloxwich.

Officers believe the victim, a man in his 30s, was assaulted in the early hours of yesterday morning (25th January) in the Chantry Avenue area.

The man was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

A 43-year-old man was arrested that same afternoon.

He's being questioned on suspicion of attempted murder.

A police investigation has been launched and officers are carrying out enquiries, including reviewing CCTV and speaking to people in the area.

An increased police presence should be expected.
