Arrests after weapons recovered from vehicle in West Bromwich

Two people have been arrested, after police recovered weapons from a vehicle in West Bromwich.

Officers spotted a suspicious vehicle on Shaftesbury Street, in the early hours of this morning.

An axe and two knives were recovered.

A 44 year-old man, from Birmingham and a 44 year-old woman, from Dudley, were arrested, on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a knife.

They remain in custody for questioning.
