Appeal after fatal collision in Shropshire

Police are appealing for witnesses, after a fatal collision in Shropshire yesterday evening (Tuesday 11 August).

Officers were called to the A41, Newport bypass, from the Pickmere roundabout, at around 10.55pm following reports of a collision, involving a Porsche Taycan and a tractor towing a flatbed trailer.

The driver of the Porsche, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family has been made aware and is being supported by specially-trained officers.

A 30 year-old man was arrested, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage, from the moments leading up to the incident.
