Chloe Keates sentenced to 59 weeks for a series of crimes
A woman has been sentenced to 59 weeks in prison for assault, burglary, theft, and breaches of orders in Reading after an investigation by Thames Valley Police.
Chloe Keates, 30, who has no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to numerous charges at Reading Crown Court on 22nd December 2025.
Her charges include seven counts of theft, six counts of burglary, five counts of breaches of a criminal behaviour order, one count of assault, and one count of breach of bail.
Keates was sentenced at the same court on 10th February.
Between 6th July and 1st November 2025, Keates committed numerous thefts in the Reading area, frequently violating a criminal behaviour order in the town centre.
She also engaged in repeated burglaries at apartment entry areas on Garrard Street and South Street.
On 19th August 2025, Keates entered an apartment on Garrard Street, stole packages from the lobby, and pushed a resident who confronted her, before fleeing.
Police staff investigator Elle Read said: “This is a prolific offender in the Reading area. Thames Valley Police have worked hard to secure all available evidence and reports in order to bring justice to our victims.
"We urge all victims of crime to report these instances to us, as Thames Valley Police are committed to dealing with these prolific offenders robustly.”
