Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Reading.

A silver Toyota Yaris collided with a pedal cycle.

It happened at around 8:20pm on Tuesday evening (10 March) at the Water Road junction with Groveslands Road and Dee Road.

The cyclist, a 29-year-old man, died at the scene.

The driver of the car remained at the scene, meanwhile no arrests have been made.

Investigating officer, Detective Seargent Matthew Cadmore of the Road’s Policing Unit said: “First and foremost, my thoughts are with the family of the man who has sadly died in this incident. We are supporting them at this extremely upsetting time.

“I am appealing for anybody who was in the area at around the time of this collision to check any dash-cam or CCTV footage in case it has captured something that may assist us with this investigation."
