Witness appeal after fatal collision near Heckfield

Police are appealing for witnesses and information, after a fatal collision near Heckfield.

Officers were called to a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A33 Basingstoke Road, just north of the Duke of Wellington statue, at around 10am yesterday (10 May).

The driver of one the cars, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been notified.

A man and woman, both aged in their 20s, were in the other car and were taken to hospital, to receive treatment for serious injuries.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened and anyone with dashcam footage, who has not already spoken to them.
