Victim named in Bracknell murder investigation
Four men from Bracknell who were arrested earlier this week have now been released on bail
Thames Valley Police have confirmed the identity of the victim in the ongoing murder investigation in Bracknell.
Officers were called to Market Street on Sunday, 26th April, at around 11.40am following reports of a deceased man.
The victim has been formally identified as 33-year-old Abdul Wali Mamozai from Bracknell.
His family is being supported by specially trained officers during this difficult time.
Four men, aged 35, 27, and two aged 33, all from Bracknell, have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
The scenewatch on Market Street has been lifted.
Head of the force's Major Crime Unit, Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown expressed his condolences:
"“Our thoughts are with Abdul Wali Mamozai’s family.
“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances around Mr Mamozai’s death to fully understand the events that have led to this sad loss of life.
“I would like to ask anyone who may have information that could help our investigation to please come forward and speak to us.
“I would also request that people do not to speculate about details of this case or circulate inaccurate information on social media during this live investigation.”
