Police investigate death of a man in Hungerford
His body was found in a field
Police are appealing for footage and witnesses in connection with an unexplained death in Hungerford.
A body of a man was discovered in a field close to a layby on the A4, Hungerford, between Cobbs Farm and Froxfield at around 9.45am on Saturday (11/3).
A Fiat Hymer camper van was parked in a layby nearby and belonged to the deceased.
Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Gareth Perry said:
“We know from our enquiries that the camper van belonging to the deceased was in the layby from around 10pm on Friday 10 March.
“We are now trying to establish what happened between this time and 9.45am on Saturday when the man’s body was discovered.
“I am appealing to anyone who was driving along the A4 between Cobbs Farm and Froxfield, between 10pm on Friday and 9.45am on Saturday to check their dash-cam footage or if they witnessed anything to get in touch.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and the man’s next of kin have been informed.
“Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this extremely difficult time.”
