Two more arrests in Reading murder investigation

Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit has provided another update in the murder investigation, after the fatal stabbing of a man in Reading on Saturday 23 May.

Two more arrests have been made; two teenage boys from Reading have been arrested on suspicion of murder today (27/5) and they both remain in custody at this time.

Two more arrests were made on Sunday.

One teenage boy from Reading was arrested, on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody at this time.

A second teenage boy from High Wycombe was arrested, on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released on police bail.

The teenage boy, who was arrested on Saturday (23/5), has been released from custody and is on police bail.

Muhammad Noor Majid Butt was stabbed to death in Lower Earley on Saturday.
