Two arrested after suspected drugs found in car in Basingstoke

Police have arrested a driver after suspected Class A drugs were found in a car following a fail-to-stop incident in Basingstoke on Sunday.

The incident happened at around 9pm when a Vauxhall Astra on Worting Road was spotted.

A 32-year-old man from Basingstoke was arrested on suspicion of, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A, arive a motor vehicle dangerously, fail to stop a mechanically propelled vehicle when required by constable and drive motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above specified limit

A 47-year-old woman from Basingstoke was later arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.
