Train services from Berkshire and north Hampshire disrupted this weekend
South Western Railway passengers must change at Clapham Junction
Train passengers travelling from Berkshire and north Hampshire into London this weekend will face disruption as engineering works continue.
South Western Railway (SWR) services that normally run to London Waterloo will instead start and terminate at Clapham Junction on Saturday 31st January and Sunday 1st February 2026.
Affected routes include suburban lines, such as Windsor & Eton Riverside to London, as well as longer-distance journeys, including Reading to London. Passengers will need to switch trains at Clapham Junction and use other operators or London Underground/Overground services to complete their journeys.
How this affects passengers
Trains from locations including Reading, Windsor, Woking, Farnborough, and Basingstoke will be unable to run all the way to Waterloo. This will result in altered calling patterns and longer journey times.
What passengers need to do
Travellers are advised to check their journey before travelling using South Western Railway’s journey planner or National Rail Enquiries. Passengers should allow extra time to complete their trips and plan alternative connections into central London from Clapham Junction.
