Teenager charged with knife possession in Basingstoke

A teenager has been charged with a knife offence following a proactive stop in Basingstoke.

Officers on patrol stopped a man on Wavell Close and located a large knife at around 6pm on 25 September. The knife was seized at the scene.

Kurtis Moore, 18, of Cromwell Road, Devizes, Wiltshire, has been charged with possessing a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place.

He appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on 26 September and was remanded into custody. Moore is due to appear at the same court again (30 September).
