Reading skyscraper to open next year
The flagship building will be the centrepiece of the Station Hill redevelopment
New images have been released showing how a huge new 16-storey skyscraper will change the skyline of Reading forever.
One Station Hill is currently in being built in the heart of Reading, just south of the train station, and now developers have revealed when they hope it will be open.
A website – https://one.stationhill.co.uk/ – has been launched recently revealing that the team hopes to open One Station Hill in the first quarter of 2024.
That means it could be available for the first residents to move in between January and March.
One Station Hill will have 17 floors in total, with the ground floor being made up of a main reception, flexible space and a retail unit, with the lower ground floor consisting of a reception, fitness club, showers and cycle parking spaces.
Upper floors will be made up of two floors of flexible space, with 13 floors of offices.
The eighth floor would come with a private terrace, and the 15th floor would come with a private terrace, lounge and office space.
Once complete, 275,000 square foot of space will be made available.
Outline plans for One Station Hill were approved by Reading Borough Council’s planning committee (application reference 192032) were approved in July 2021.
