Second arrest made in relation to Basingstoke firearm incident

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary

A second arrest has been made in relation to an incident in Basingstoke where a firearm had been used at an address.

Officers were initially called to Dankworth Road in Basingstoke on Thursday, 12 March, following reports of firearm use, which caused damage to a window.

No reports of injuries were made, but a man was later found at a different location with a minor hand injury.

Following the launch of an investigation, a 26-year-old man from Basingstoke has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and remains in custody.

An 18-year-old man from Basingstoke, who was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, has been bailed with conditions, pending further enquiries.

While enquiries continue, police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward in order to support their investigation.
