Reading FC takeover closer than ever
EFL don't set new deadline but say deal is progessing to completion

The EFL has suggested that the Reading FC takeover is closer than ever.
The latest deadline to complete the deal passed at 5pm on Monday but news soon emerged that signed paperwork from all parties had been submitted to the EFL.
The EFL later said "The sale of Reading FC continues to progress towards completion, with the League having received further documentation over recent days. A further update will be shared in due course."
The lack of another deadline suggests the deal could be very close to being completed.
