Reading FC given new takeover deadline

Reading football club has been given a new EFL deadline to complete the sale of the club.
On Saturday when Rob Couhig's takeover was announced it was made clear there were still some legal technicalities to be dealt with and a deadline of today (8 May) was given.
Now the EFL has extended that until Monday 12 May at 5pm.
Here's their statement: "With the proposed sale progressing towards completion, the League has extended the time allowed for Mr Dai Yongge to divest his interests in Reading FC until 17:00 on Monday 12 May 2025.
"As communicated earlier this week, a sale of the Club has been agreed in principle with Redwood Holdings Limited."
Reading football club has so far not commented.
Our understanding is there are no concerns about the deal it's purely administrative.
